A community of practice (COP) makes for better content and happier people by keeping content designers engaged—in their work and with each other.

This session tells how the team at U.S. Bank built a COP as their content design staff grew from 12 to more than 70. You’ll hear about challenges and benefits, and get specific suggestions for how to get started if you don’t already have a COP.

In this session, you will learn:

  • Who to invite (and why)
  • How to create an effective structure without cramping anyone’s style (or calendar)
  • Ways to spur stealth mentoring
  • What resources will help support your community
  • The pros and cons of involving management in your COP
